Mark the Summit

Eight AQA A-level Geography answers are waiting to be marked, drawn from Hazards, Water and carbon cycles, Coastal systems and landscapes, Contemporary urban environments, Changing places, and Global systems and global governance. Read each one against the level descriptors, decide the level and the mark, and see how close you get to the examiner.

How it works

  1. Read the question and the student answer.
  2. Choose a level, then a mark inside that level.
  3. Earn XP for the right level and for getting close to the actual mark. An exact match earns a bonus.
  4. After rounds 4 and 8 you throw darts at a moving contour board. More XP means more darts, up to 3. More accurate marking makes the board move more slowly.

Every game includes all six units, with 4, 6, 9 and 20-mark questions drawn from a bank of 22 answers. Answers and marks are written for practice using AQA-style level descriptors; they are not official AQA exemplars.
